Mexican Cornbread

1 lb meat
onion
½ pd. Cheddar cheese
1 c. milk
½ tsp. baking soda
¾ tsp. salt
¼ c. bacon drippings (I leave out)
2 eggs
1 can cream style corn

Cook meat and add chopped onions. Set aside.
Mix remaining ingredients into a bowl. Mix well.
In a 9x13 pan layer ingredients.

Layer: ½ mixture
All meat
½ mixture

350* 1 hour uncovered
